How to hide clock on Navcore 9.541?

Hello everyone,

I've just updated both my TomToms (One 3rd Edition, and XL) to Navcore 9.541 to fix the satellite issues, following the instructions on this forum (thank you).

It was really easy to get it working, and I understand the clock resetting issue can't be fixed.

But I can't seem to hide the clock on the status bar on either device.

There is an option in Change preferences > Status bar preferences > Current time.

But ticking or unticking the Current time box makes no difference, the clock always shows on the status bar.

Is there some config file I can manually edit to make the clock hidden?
