Postby berserken » Tue Aug 14, 2012 3:15 pm

Hi Friend,I am using one Wince 6 4.3inch GPS.

Success to download the mapear installer and dispatch into pc,but when using available engine to install maps in flash,it keeps telling activation failed,and is this cos I used a wrong engine ?

Anybody help ?

What map did you download? What navcore version are you using?

the map I download is named Argentina_Mapear_890_4224 which is an installer exe file and could get the meta file in the map after dispatch.
for the navcore ,I could find from the ttnavigator.bif file below sentence:
ApplicationVersion=7910
ApplicationBuildNumber=9185

Download FastActivate Premium 1.8.9.0 It has all of the current metas. Unzip it and copy the FastActivate.exe file + a copy of your ttnavigator.bif file into the new map folder. Run FastActivate to patch the map.

Hi Brother,I did download the tool and tried but still failed

When start the exe and it asked to choose the driver letter,because it is said H-APPOLO in the file and also the driver is H so I enter H,but then it jump to another window and said cannot find ttnavigator.bif or pndnavigator.But I did run the navigator once and the file ttnavigator.bif did exsit in the root

Any places wrong ?

Is your device connecting to your PC with ActiveSync or WMDC?

Yes it does, map activation fails if you connect via activesync.

Did you follow the instructions posted in post #5 exactly?

Are you using windows 7 64 bit?

It appears that the only thing you did right was download & unzip FastActivate Premium 1.8.9.0.
If you had followed the rest of the instructions in post 5, you would not have been asked for a drive letter.
1. Do you have a Argentina_Mapear_890_4224 map folder?
2. Do you have FastActivate Premium 1.8.9.0?
3. Do you have a ttnavigator.bif file?

maybe I copy to wrong places ?
totally there are two folders right ?One is for the map data in my case it is called Argentina_mapear_890_4224
and another is navigator folder in which there are "tom tom navigator.exe" file
I set the exe file as the navigation path and enter,screen tells failure and at same time there is a bif file created in the flash
Then I copy the fastactivate tool into root and run it .Then the problem I asked above appears

Pls help to tell in which steps I made mistakes?
Thanks so much

Just don't bother answering the other questions, we have time and like to repeat what we say again and again....
