Put FastActivate Premium 1.8.9.0 Updated 15.01.2013 & a copy of your ttgo.bif file in the Italia v900.4608 folder. Run FastActivate to patch the map. Done.

Try this first.
Re install the self patching verssion of the Italia map , again with the mymeta.txt on the sd card.
When the installation is complete, hopefully the map will be activated automatically.
Any problems , I will try to find the link for the AutoActivate Zip file for you tomorrow


I didnt mean try this before you try Tendriver's response, just the way the post order turned out.Follow Tendriver's instruction.

1. Mymeta.txt is now just named meta.txt.
2. AUTOActivate has been obsolete has a long time.

I've got two GO710 units here that i'm experimenting with.

One unit is running App 9.205.547817.1 and the other the contents on 9430GO.RAR.

Both units are running Maps v905.4754

Differences on unit with 9430GO.RAR:

Battery level indicator not displayed
Full postcode entry not available
IQ Routes not enabled
Status & Information icon missing
Main Menu 4 & 5 only contain Skin Chooser

I get the same results with both units with DeviceName="GO710" or "GO 710" and DeviceName="GO910" or "GO 910"

Are the above fixable or should i stay with 9.205?

What emu are you using?

I've tried native 710 and 910. Same results with both.

Update:

Battery level indicator displays only when the level is down to 33% or less.

Take a look at the x20, x30, x40 & x50 emus.

Emu=18=X20:

X40 and X50 look promising, only full postcodes not working on those emus.

Is there a config setting that controls full postcode entry?

Does not matter what emu you use.
The post codes should work in any enu if the zip is correct.

No matter what I try i can't get full postcode entry to work.
It will only accept the outbound portion.

For WA1 1AA it will only allow WA1 to be entered and then requires a Street name for WA1, whereas the 9.205 I can enter WA1 1AA directly.

No worries. I'll revert back to 9.205.

LATEST POSTCODES Version 905 (GREAT BRITAIN, NEDERLAND & SINGAPORE) 905 Zip.Zip
Unzip the download, which will create a folder labeled 905 Zip. Rename the folder to Zip by deleting 905. Copy the "Zip" folder to the root directory.

Postcodes are happy again.
