Navcore 9.430 for most models

Navcore 9.430 for most models

Postby Downunder35m » Thu Mar 29, 2012 1:36 pm

I created a patched version with several emulations for most models.

Be aware that there are two different versions, one for the GO series and for all other models.
A new technique for the sound problem was used, so that on models like ONE,XL and maybe Start the sound should work and not turn silent when an emu different from "self" is used.
This however is not proven to work on a wide range of devices, so don't be too disappointed if your device still stays silent.
A feedback on that would be great.

Installation]
You either overwrite your existing NC or do a clean install.
Unpack all files from the archive to the root of your device, confirm to overwrite!

Spoiler: Show
Notes]
To change the emu go to the last page of the menu and tap on the "Skin Chooser".
Do the calibration properly!
Select the emu with the arrows, confirm with a double tap in the center of the screen.
There is only the basic NC included, please use the voices and other stuff from your old NC or backup.
LoquendoTTS should work on 32mb models but I could not test it as I have no suitable device.

9.430 Fullbackup with lots of voices]
I uploaded a fullbackup from my device and added tomplayer as well as Tripmaster.
Since quite a few users want funny voices I included my whole collection.
Homer,Marge,Bugs Bunny,Kim Cattrel,Darth Vader just to name a few...
Some are in Yards and meters so that everyone can find something.
I also incleded many voices different from the few supllied with a Navcore, even some that I never heard of.
Unpacked it is a bit over 300mb mostly because of the voices, so simply use Home to remove whatever voice you don't need.
Be aware that some need activation, FastActivate is included.
I noticed that pictures for the computervoices are messed up now, so please use the text to select a voice and not the picture ;) Sorry for that!

You can either overwrite your existing installation or do a clean install on an empty device.

Hello Downunder.
I use your 9.430 navcore for a while on a TomTom one.
It works OK but it often lag or crashdown. The unit takes some long minutes to start.
I think that the 32 Mb limitation is the cause of these problems.
I'm trying to find a working v8 Navcore version for my tomtom one but all the links in the forum are broken.
Do you know where can I find this ? I also found in the past in this forum a super tool that automatically install the wanted navcore automatically. The donwload link of this tool os also brocken... Can you help ? Thanks for your great work.

1. Try this 9.430 version. Navcore 9.430 for most models
2. Where are the broken V8 links?

Hello Tendriver.
That's allready the version I use.
Its works OK in most cases but often crash or lag.
I have to use my GPS every day and it's not reliable with this navcore.
I really want to install a V8 version to compare the stability.
I haven't found a working link.
For example, all the links of this post are out of date :
http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?6612-Patched-8.XXX-navcore-collection-including-TRUCK
(and also all the others from the "navcore vv8" section)
Thanks.

1. Then you have posted in the wrong thread.
2. These are third party links, which Navitotal does not offer support for.

Our links are here: V8 & V9 Navcores

After a lot of searching I finally found a Navcore that works with XL v2, all the one I tried had no sound, so thanks for this. How did you sort the sound problem or which files would I need if I were to try another Navcore. Thanks.

You can not fix it by replacing files it is the inside of the Navcore files that are modified to keep the sound working.
But as said by Tendriver, the 9.485 is more current.

No, not at all, there are still enough maps available for V7 and V8 Navcores...

No that is not correct. There is never anything that the Navitotal staff uploads that you have to pay for!!

There are several links in this thread. Which one are you referring to?
