Without knowing which link in post 1 you used, I can only suggest you try this workaround.
Right click on the red slow download button. Click properties. Copy the link. Open a new page in your browser, copy the link into its address window & click Enter. Click the red slow download button. You will see a 60 second timer. At the end of the timer, uncheck "Download with FileFactory's download manager", if it pops up & click the red "Click here to begin your download"' button.
