Navcore 9.? and speedcams

Sat Mar 01, 2014 5:23 pm

Every time i install a 9 series navcore the tomtom speed cameras don't work if I downgrade to 8.2 they work again. Looks like with navcore 9 you need a tomtom subscription to live services or something. Is there a navcore 9 series that works without a valid subscription?

1. Official TomTom Speedcams work with all 9.XXX navcores. Navitotal does not post anything, that would cost our members any money for any reason!!!
2. Yep, all of them do!!

Hi thanks for the reply

Just installed navcore 9.485 all works great. Only issue and it seems a backward step is the speed camera icon does not show the speed anymore just a camera icon. Is there a way to change the icons back to the old ones with the speed

What model is your TT? If you are using a modded version of 9.485, what emu is it set for?

That depends on whether you patched the navcore or used a pre-patched version.

Main Menu, Change preferences, Status bar preferences & confirm that "Maximum Speed" is checked.

Top man the option maximum speed wasn't in the navcore 9.485 I was using but just found a new navcore 9.530 where the speed cams work as they should with the speed warning. Cheers for all your help.

FYI, 9.530 is just a version of 9.510 with added support for SEA (Southeast Asia). I suspect 9.485 had what you were lookig for, if it was set at the correct emu, as mentioned in post 4.

Hi Tendriver
Thanks for all your help.
I have read about setting the correct emulator but when I had no option on 9.485 in the menus to change it. I have read about editing a file using notepad++ but didn't understand it.

There are different ways to change the emu. Which way depends on how the navcore was patched.

Quoting from post 1 of that same thread:

All versions include all possible emulations, so be careful what emu you choose, by default it start in the native mode for your device.
To change the emulation select the skin chooser on the last page of the menu,
select the emulation of your choice and confirm with a double tap in the center of the screen.

There was no skin chooser on the last page of the menu that was the problem
