navcore auto installer help please

Postby jakk81 » Mon Mar 21, 2016 8:14 pm

Can any one help please, I think I need a new download for navcore auto installer 9.485 for xl, ive tried newer navcores but have no success I have a tomom xl 310, the only one I have managed to get to work is a 9.50 rider version but obviously no sound,
or if someone has a 9.50 for a xl would be great? I cant use the 9.51 the screens all distorted and freezes on startup but go version works but with no sound.
So my last thought was this 9.485 version installer?

Did you give it a try with Downunder's Universal Navcore Installer v9.510?
Did you choose 9.510 for 32mb devices? That should work.
Install it and make sure currentMap.dat + currentLocation.dat are not in the root. Furthermore, avoid possible problems by not keeping your current mapsettings.dat in the map folder.

I'm sorry, you should install the 9.510 for XL series version. My bad! I had 32 in my mind but you do need to choose the XL version which are always 32mb.

What happens when you remove the splashw.bmp screen? Does it start up correctly and show the map?
It really should work if the device has no malfunctions.
If it's only the splash screen then make sure the dimensions are 480x272 pixels.

I don't know if you are starting from a empty device but I would advice to do so.

Okay, so the TT freezes a the boot (TT) logo? And you do not see a startup screen?
What happens if you quick format the TT (fat32) and connect it to TT Home on the pc? Does it get offered software? Does that completely boot the device?

Send PM to downunder for patched navcore.

As long as you hear TomTom drum sound when resetting your XL the sound should work.
