I know you can download it for free, but that does not allow you to use it after the 30day trial period is over. I know it's kind of hypocrite, but if there is an opensource free alternative I will prefer that. But thanks for your advice.

BTW: I got the USA_Canada_Mexico map working, but adding a country like Mexico and the map is the same size, that must mean that some detail or something has been left out compared to the USA_Canada map and then that one again compared to the United_States_2GB map.

1. I said, "Do a google search for a free copy!!", not download a copy for free. There is a difference.
2. Same size??
United_States_2GB_930_5563 [1668MB]
USA_Canada_930_5563 [1880MB]
USA_Canada_and_Mexico_930_5605 [1731MB]
The US & USA_C maps are both the full featured 5563 version. The USA_C & M map is a 5605 version with no cspeech/ASR.

I'm sorry but I did a google search but can only find website saying free download and can't seem to find any with a free license. But thanks anyways.

You're right, I forgot about the ASR/CSpeech files, I have never used this, so I forgot about it. Thanks for clearing that up.

To do a google search for a free copy, use either of these "winrar registered" or "winrar 5.10".

Hello everybody,

I wanted to use new navcore and new maps, so I completely formatted the internal memory to FAT32 of my (2Gb) Tomtom XL IQ Routes device.

Now my computer doesn't recognize the device!

What can I do?

Do a 30 second "hard reset".
FYI, Navitotal never suggests formatting except in the most severe cases.
I do not give help by PM. It deprives our other members of a chance to learn. Please post your issue in the appropriate forum/thread. You will get an answer.
