Navcore 9 for TomTom One?

Hi
Please can someone tell me if i can use Navicore 9 for my wife's old TomTom one?

i have so far managed to update the map & speed cameras, just wondered if it was worth updating the Navicore also?
I have used GET MY - cfg and the results are below :-)

Downunder has posted several 9.XXX navcores, that he has modded for the older 32MB units like yours. Look in the red sticky section, directly above this thread.

1. Your ONE has SD card only memory, no internal memory?
2. We had a bit of a hiccup & had to rebuild the forum. Check your profile to confirm your setting are like you want them.

yeah SD card only i believe, does that help?

and ive only just joined so it doesn't appear to be working :-(

1. A 9.XXX navcore & an updated bootloader will allow you to use a more detailed map of any size & possibly computer voices. There are discussion threads, for most of Downunder's modded navcores, in the TT General Discussion red sticky threads.
2. If you still don't have it in a few days, let me know.

Thanks, have updated now and im running 9.485 i have tried to install a computer voice but nothing will show up, can you give me any assistance with that? i have a VocalizerTTS folder, the Serena voice shows up in TT but nothing plays when i press the test button?

i'm using same device and same navcore as you and Serena is working fine, however when you select Serena and then press test she sometimes takes quite a while to speak.

When i use tt home it tells me the voice doesnt work with my device?, how long before she speaks?

This is what it says, i have pressed the test button and waited a few minutes but nothing :-(

1. You can now use full featured United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_915_5074. Of course without a mike, you can't use cspeech.
2. TT Home has told me for years that I can't use computer voice DAVE, which I have been using for years. It occurs when I have a navcore loaded that isn't designed for my unit.

so are you saying if i download that map then it will read out street names etc by default without me installing anything else?

i only used tt home to see how many voices it said was installed on the device ;-)
