Navcore for TomTom One v8

Postby tmrlourenco » Fri Jul 10, 2015 5:56 pm

Hi
I´m using a TomTom One v8 (canada 310 if it helps) internal 1Gb (No sdcard) with a 8.041 Navcore and a 10100 Bootloader and I´m trying to update the maps to Europe 1GB South 950.6544 that I know it´s not compatible.

SO I want to update the NAvcore and went to "Navcores 9 for TomTom Devices" subforum trying to find a Navcore but every one I saw and tryied, the TT does not start /read the internal memory.

Any Help? With Navcore should I install?

Thank you in advance

Thanks for the fast response.

The table that is in the beggining of the post says The only 8 compatible is the 8.06x / 8.1XX / 8.2XX / 8.3XX / 8.45X / 8.5XX / 8.84X

I´m I not reading right? I saw in this table: http://www53.zippyshare.com/scaled/1tFONRGl/file.html

Best Regards

No, you aren't reading it right. Please read the info in the yellow box at the bottom of the table.

Also a bit of bad news for you. You can't change your 8.041 navcore and/or 1.0100 bootloader!! Read this: topic943.html

Thank you for your patience.

Sorry but I´m not undestanding, as I can see in the yellow box I cannot see it´s compatible. I have done the cross check and the 950.6544 works with almost every Navcore installed but, mine is 8.041 and it isnt´s there, only the 8.45X.

I tryied again with other map and its working (Iberia 6544) but this 1Gb South Europe is not working I "cannot use this map with this equipment" understand why but I thought it was a problem with the navcore.

Copied from the yellow box.
The rows are the versions of the map that this chart is supporting.
The columns are the various navcores in use (not all navcores are listed).
If you don't see your navcore listed, read between the lines of the navcores that are older & newer than yours .

Your 8.041 is between Navcore 7.9XX, which is compatible with the map, & navcore 8.06X, which is also compatible, therefore your 8.041 is compatible.
This procedure is called interpolating.
