Hello All,

My wife has a TT GO 730 and she was getting a lot of crashes. I decided to format and do a clean using NC 9.430 GO that was downloaded from the first page on this thread. After installing the NC and getting the proper files to work ttgo.bif, and using the fastactivate 1.8.9.0 I am running on a couple issues that I need help on it. First, I get error messages about none of the voices can be used, second I get stuck on the screen "This device belongs to" and I can't move past that. What am I doing wrong ?. My goal is to have this device working with NC 9.430, be able to hear directions and also to use the voice commands.

Thanks for all your great work.

9.430 is the current official navcore for your 730. Let TT Home install it for you.

This is taken from the Tomtom site:

To reset your TomTom device, do the following:

Check that the battery is charged properly.
Charge your device for at least 2 hours before trying to turn it on again. Make sure the charging light on your device is on.

Remove the SD card
If your device uses an SD card, remove it.

Reset your device.
Use a straightened paper clip, or something similar, to push the reset button for 20 seconds. See the pictures below for where to find the reset button.

Turn your device on.
Press the On/off button for at least 5 seconds.

Insert the SD card
If your device uses an SD card, insert the SD card.

Alternatively, download this and search for a thread in these forums on how to use this tool.

Good luck!

Thanks Hotpants,

Following Tendriver and your suggestion I got NC 9.430. But she used to have voice control before and now, no dice. What can I do to re-enable voice control on her device ?.

Thanks,

This download contains 3 files. Put the support_asr.dat file in the ASR folder, if it doesn't already have one. Put the ttsystem file in the root of the 730, overwriting the current one. Also put the model.txt file in the root. This will give you "Voice Control" & "Command & Control". Disconnect & reboot.

Tendriver,

So far I got everything working fine, I have had some reboots. Voice command sometimes goes mute, and then device reboots. Later today I will run some more tests on the road and see how everything is working.

Thanks for your help.

Did you install the 9.430.cab, SE 9.430, or TT Home 9.430?

Are you still having issues? Was the support ASR file already in the ASR folder?

Have you run TT Clear Flash Tool 3 or 4 times?

9.4xx on a TomTom XL v9 (32MB)

Postby RJ45 » Sun Sep 16, 2012 2:12 pm

Hi,

Just installed NC9.430 SE on a TomTom XL v9 (32MB).
It works stable, but it is little slow in general use.
The "keys" on the "keyboard", when typing a streetname react with a 2-5 seconds delay, wich makes this Navcore unusable for a daily user, like my colleague.

Any suggestions?

Is there a way to turn of the skin-chooser on the 9.405 version?
In Self-mode this navcore -seems- to run fine, but I dont want the user to get confused by this extra icon.

thanks in advance for your time.
