Navcore Version 9.465

2. What is the purpose of the downloaded file then?
3. I read the tutorial for upgrading the navcore and it's not working, there is a link "SE_ttsystem.8.412.1236.rev1.1.rar". That link is dead. Even if it was working, I'm wondering if it would work with all tomtom go models? (mine is a GO930)

1. 9.465 is the current navcore for your 930. You can install it manually or with TT Home, it's your choice.
2. It is made available for our members with devices in which 9.465 is not the current official navcore.
3. Downunder covered this quite well.

OK, but how do I update it then? What am I supose to do with the file? So far I have the compressed file with the navecore. Once its unzipped it contains a bunch of folders and even more files, including the ttsystem, but not the ttgo.bif.

Here is what I think I should do.

1. Backup the GPS.
2. Copy and overwrite files from Navcore folder to root on GPS.
3. copy original ttgo.bif to the GPS root.
4. Edit the the ttgo.bif file as in the instructions.
5. Copy any new maps to GPS. (move olde maps first)
6. Copy fastactivate to GPS, then run it, for it to do it's thing.

Would that work? Any missing steps. Will this work with Tomtom Home or do I have to do anything to get that to work?

Thanks Kasper

1. OK
2. OK
3. There should already be a ttgo.bif file in the root, unless you deleted it.
4. Not necessary.
5. OK
6. OK, but use the pre-patched SE ttsystem file for the navcore patch, use the pre-patched [email protected] for TT Home. See destination below. Patch map with FA.

With XP
C:\Documents and Settings\ User Name\ApplicationData\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\extensions\ "][email protected]

With Vista or Windows 7
C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\extensions\[email protected]

With Mac:User's_Home/Library/ApplicationSupport/TomTomHOME/Profiles/????????.default/Resources/Extensions/[email protected]/?-???-????-/.framework

I'll give it a try, just two more question.
1. The prepatched ttsystem and the downloaded navcore dont have the same number after the 9.465.xxxxxx is that normal or do I need to get matching file names in terms of the numbers?
2. Is the extra steps afte 6. to get arround editing the file my self or just to get TT Home working? I read someone had problems getting TT Home working without editing the file everytime before entering TT Home.

Thanks Again. :-)

RE: your deleted post above post 34. You have full editing rights on all of your posts. Rather than deleting, followed by a new post, just edit.

1. The pre-patched ttysytem doesn't have any numbers. If you are referring to the pre-patched TT Home download, the numbers after 9.465 are not important.
2. There are not any extra steps after 6. Those are paths to follow, depending on your PC's OS, to copy in the pre-patched TT Home folder in [email protected]

I have a go 730, does this navcore 9.465 allow all the funtions to remain intact?
I use the cell phone link often as well as the voice thing and the fm broadcaster.
I have tried other navcores and some of the 730's functions are not supported.
I also use some of the computer voices, user maps and poi's from the TT site.

I have updated my 720 with the 9.465 via Tomtom Home and it works Okay.
However my reason for doing the update in the first place I was hoping to cure a Start-up problem when connecting to Computer but it did not.. My problem when connecting to computer and switching ON it starts up and asks "if I want to connect to computer" i click on YES and it then goes blank and switches off. I have to do a rest while still connected and the it restarts okay and is then connected to computer.
This is no big upset but it would have been nice if it restarted automatically.

Have you tried a "hard 30 second reset" + running "Clear Flash" several times??
