I am aware that you may not be able to downgrade back to an earlier navcore version after installing a higher version.

So, has anyone installed this and does it install easily?

Are there any benefits to this new version? I still have App 8.417 and Boot 5.5256 whichever of these relates to navcore.

The 9.101 was replaced by a newer version already because it was too buggy.
I don't know where got your informations from, but I strongly suggest to do some more reading before trying to update your device.
I see no point for you in updating a working device if you have not the slightest idea about the terms and what might be involved.

If you want to update, go to the latest Navcore thread and download a Navcore of your choice.
And for your next request please include the informations needed!

You can install about any version you want if you are a little bit saavy about what you are doing, I tested 8.412, 8.545, 8.562, 9.061, 9.101, 9.205, multiple times, going back and forth from one version to another one, testing x40, x40light, start emulation, etc.

IIRC with 9.061 if I go on the speed trap camera icon, it freezes then reboot, with 9.205 my TT does not shutdown but freeze and reboot, LoquendoTTS is buggy on about all version, TT says for instance "A F T 100 metreres" instead of "after 100 metres", etc.

9.101 is the only 9.xxx version stable for my One 3rd. I may test 9.205 downunder version at one time with a 875 map.

EDIT: typo

Than the previous poster is correct, on a 730 you can basically install any v8 and v9 Navcore with no big problems.
Good choices are the 9.004, the 9.205 or the 9.058
