New Navcore v9.061 for GO 950 Live

Postby Radeon89 » Sat Nov 05, 2011 10:54 am

Hi guys,
Any patch has been released for this new official navcore? I tried to search a bit without luck...

My TT is a Go 950 Live.

My "ttgo.bif" file says:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9061
ApplicationVersion=576030.1

Thanks in advance

1. Just patch your map.

2. Don't get distracted by the bootloader hype & hysteria. Each navcore has it's own bootloader included. For 9.061 it is 5.5277, which you have.

Hi, is there any SE version available?
I only want to geht the MP3 player working again on my go live 950, this is usually be done by using x40 emulation/switchfiles but I cant find the current 9.061 SE Navcore or any tutorial how to modify the original firmware to accept switchfiles.
Can someone give some hints, please?

9.061 is a GO 950 navcore & should not need a SE version with x40 emulation/switchfiles to have all features on your device. There is a pre-patch link in post 2 or you can patch it yourself with FastActivate 23.10.2011 {1.8.7.4} Premium version.

Hello tendriver, thanks for your repsonse.

The problem of the Go Live 950 is, that TomTom has disabled the MP3 player feature in the software. The x40 models were the last onces with the TomTom MP3 player.

Also if I copy the MP3 player onto my 950, the device will not use it.

I was only able to get it to run with the SE navcores and switchfiles.

Is there another way to get the mp3 player run again on the 950 device?

Would the third party app "Tomplayer" be useful to you?

Hi,

as far as I know tomplayer shuts down navigation, that means that you can only navigate, or only hear MP3s, but not both at the same time:

Only the TomTom Jukebox was able to play the same time as you navigate. TomTom will just mute the music whenever a navigation voice appears.

I'm aware of all this, but since you didn't address when and how you use jukebox, I thought Tomplayer might work for you.

So hours later I can present my solution for the Jukebox problem:

- Get "DSA Tool", this Java program downloads and patches the latest Navcores for you.
- Install DSA Tool
- Add the lastet Navcore CAB file ("9.061.go950_t_CAB-navcore-GO_LIVE.cab" for my Go Live 950) to %APPDATA%\dsa.app\cabs.txt
- Start DSA Tool
- select the added CAB
- multiselect each Interface (emulation) you want to use, for me it's x50 and x40.
- select destination (TT SD-Card)
- klick patch

The tool will download the navcore, add the missing tools. Delete "system" file in root, make a real powercycle with the sd card plugged in, choose "24-Go x40" in TomTom Menu -> skin chooser -> "< 24 >"

Now with x40 screen the TomTom Jukebox is available under the GoLive 950 :)

The rar file unzips ok but has no icon on it's left side and windows asks what sort of program do you want to use to view it....well I don't know as usually it just opens with all the navcore files showing.
