yes, I replace the existing files in that folder with the new files, but Home crashes when I choose to operate unit. When I use original files in that folder, I get "Cannot use this map" error, so something must be different about the patched files that makes them not work.

Confirm that your string reads EXACTLY like this, letter for letter, dot for dot & symbol for symbol, except for the ??s. Also you renamed the folder as shown.

If you are talking about your DSA tool post, everytime I try to download it, I get a "no download slots available" message, so I have not been able to try it yet.

Downloaded DSA tool and it worked fine patching Home on Mac. TT Home now allows Operate my device without crashing. Much easier than copying folders. Thanks!

No worries, I know there are a few users with only Linux or Mac systems.
The DSA tool can be used on both and since there not many other working and up to date tools available for your system it makes things a lot easier as you only need a simple emulator for the keygen to get the map going.
If you check the cabs.txt you will notice that you add the latest TT cab file names to download and patch all original TT NC's on your Mac, so no need to search for suitable files anymore.
Would be perfect with a keygen buit in but the author refuses as he has no source code available to do so.
