We can't help you, until you help us. Post step by step exactly what you did to update your XL & what indication that you have that it is not working.

1. This was your first mistake.
2. Why did you elect to use 9.405 & 4444?
3. This tells us nothing.
4. How was this back up created?
5. OK
6. Need an answer to # 2 first.

I guess the problems are:
a. not posting any error message from the device
b. no mentioning about patching/activating
c. deleting all from the device including the ttgo.bif will make activation impossible. After installing from scratch you must add a copy of the old ttgo.bif or start the device to generate a new one.

For the blind users:
[color=#ff0000]c. deleting all from the device including the ttgo.bif will make activation impossible. After installing from scratch you must add a copy of the old ttgo.bif or start the device to generate a new one.

And as per instructions using FastActivate is recommended - in the latest version.

1. Which tut are you referring to?
2. 9.405 is a Start model navcore.
3. "No Maps Found" is the classic message for an unpatched navcore.

Navcore: Navcore 9.430 for most models or Navcore 9.450 with memory boost for 32mb devices and integrated GPSFix, which is the same navcore as 9.430, but supports Asia maps.
