I installed a Navcore with the map and then it happened.

What do you mean by "use Home"? :p

I've added a second map of Benelux, but my TT doesn't seems to recognize it.
I've done FastActive on it, but when I want to switch the map, only the one of the States is showing in the list.

Any idea how this comes? :chok_mini:

Hi

Can I ask which version of Navcore you installed on your TT?

[EDIT] Nvm the noob has discovered your version :)

Hi

It is 8.010, automatically installed from scratch by tomtom home

Confirm the second map of Benelux that you loaded has a meta code & is usable. If so & you don't see a .meta.dct file in the second map of Benelux folder, the map didn't get patched.

In fastactive I see that the benelux map did got patched and in the benelux folder I see the file:Benelux-781.meta & Benelux-781.meta.dct

OK so I have just updated my Navcore alone using the files from this thread:
http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?11143-Navcore-Version-9.465

I also used the instructions from this thread:
http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?991-How-to-update-Navcore

But it appears as though my TT is stuck on the TT start logo screen and it won't go anywhere and I can't even restart it.

What have I done wrong? The reason I only updated the Navcore and not the map is so I could see how it would look.

If maps are activated correctly and the files are located in a folder not an additional subfolder, the TT will find them.
So confirm you created a .DCT file for the new map, also that the files are not located in a sub folder.
Obviously the map files should be complete too ;)

Oh so I used your installer for 9.485 and then put my old USA&CAN in to test the Navcore and it worked fine except without any sound or voice which I will sort out later when I get my SD card and put in the latest map.

But just one more question; why am I not able to get that nice UI that comes with devices such as the TT GO Live 1535TM? I am also not getting that graphical display of a junction that the GO Live has. Will that change after I update the map or am I stuck with the same UI as my stock 8.010 Navcore?

All the installers provide Navcores that offer other emulations.
You select in the installer what suits your device best and later in the menu of the Navcore you go on the last page and use the SkinChooser.
In case it is missing just check the threads for the installer Navcores for the manual editing of the RESKIN file ;)
If you still have no sound in other emulations I suggest use the version with Hardwired Sound/Soundfix in the installer ;)

1. The "nice UI" is in emu 40 or emu 50.
2. The graphical display requires a 910.4892, 4939, 4956, 4958 or 4973 map.
3. Yes it will change, if you use a navcore 9.0XX or higher, & 1 of the maps aforementioned in point 2

So in the reskin file, would I just leave either emu 40 or emu 50 to use it?

[EDIT]: So I figured out how to enable the skin chooser but I would like to know what the differences are between emu 40 and emu 50. Also which emu has the black UI found in the latest TT GO and VIA series. I find it to be better than the blue status bar UI that I currently have with emu 40 and 50. The black one allows half the screen to show the map and the other half to show the lane guidance if you know what I'm talking about. XD

You might want to do some more studies first ;)
What could be the difference between X50 and X40??? Maybe, just maybe it emulates X50/X40 devices??
How do you get th interface from a device that can't be modified onto older TT`s ?
