TT One XL

Postby Akhil » Tue Jul 30, 2013 6:42 am

Oh whoops I am a complete noob at this and I didn't even know that X50 was for the model. ;D Sorry!

Now I know I am probably just being picky but when I try to change my startup and shutdown images through TomTom Home, my shutdown image becomes the same as startup and so I can't make them different. Any fix for this?

Did you bother to check the "how to create your own content" guide on the tt homepage? ;)
The fix would be to use the right file with the correct filename ;)

I've removed all the maps, put a new version of the benelux and tested. Then added the united states map again.

Everything working fine now :-)

Ok so new problem. I got my 2Gb standard non-HC SD card and when I put it in the TT and turned it on I received a error message telling me to take it out.

Is there anything on the SD card?

If not you should put a copy of all files on the TT internal disk on the SD card (minus the map folder).
Then you can install a new (bigger) map and activate it.

Tip: when copying the map, stick the SD card (in a card reader) in the pc.
That works a lot faster than via the TT.

I did that and now the TT is stuck on the TT start logo screen and it won't boot. I have used FastActivate to patch everything and it worked successfully. But still my TT won't boot. : /

What is odd is that it worked the very first time after I patched everything but soon after I connected it to my computer after turning it off in order to change the emu, it stopped working.

I believe the issue occurs when the emu is x40 or x50. Both those emus worked before I replaced my old map with the new one I just put on earlier. Is there a reason why?

1. forget about using Home - it is a useless piece of software that cause more problems than it solves.
2. A hard reset, followed by the TT clear flash tool and a clean install on an empty device usually fixes all problems.
3. Maps are not affected by the emulation.

I feel like I'm almost there except when I try to put the voices and TTS folder from my old backup (contains Susan TTS) into my SD card, I go over the disk space by a very small amount ~20-35mb. Are there any files aside from chinese3.ttf (already replaced with empty chinese3.ttf file) that I can delete that are unnecessary from both the Navcore and maps? I'm using a 2Gb SD card by the way and I have a 16Gb SDHC card lying around for my camera but I'm not sure if it will even be compatible and I don't want to use that unless it is the last resort.

Thanks a million!

Easiest and best option is to get a SD of proper size, everything else will only cause problems in the long run ;)

That's the problem, my 16Gb SDHC card won't work unless I update the bootloader and with the current bootloader I can only use upto a 2Gb SD card (not SDHC).

Any BL 5.5012 or higher will support SDHC, but there is no problem in updating to this BL Tendriver posted.
No need for 16GB unless you need the whole world, but depending on the maps I would opt for 4 or 8GB.
Simply unpack the archive with the BL to the root of your TT, overwriting any old BL file.
The next start will be a few sec. longer and after that you can use SDHC with no problems.

Hi, so I had no luck with the x10, x20..x50 emu's for the 9.485 navcore as the TT doesn't even boot with them loaded, and the other emu's that do work are really slow and are not full featured. So I tried the 9.430 navcore and it is running even slower. It takes 10 seconds just to go to the next page of the main menu and it crashes right after. Is there anything I can do?

OK so I finally got my TT working by using navcore 9.645 which seems to work smoothly with the 910.4892 USA & CAN map. Now I use TT Home to install three US English voices but when I go to the computer voices section, there is nothing there. How do I get TTS on my TT? I checked the forum and found the VocalizerTTS thread by djc151084 but the links are dead due to copyright infringement. Thanks a lot!
