Rider navcore on a XL 2 IQ 4ET03

Postby Bobsimes » Tue Feb 14, 2023 7:52 am

I have the XL IQ Routes² (XL²) : currently with navcore 9.541.2 with 1gb storage 4et0.002.02
I want to use it as a basic nav on my old moped with uk maps only no other areas needed.
It is possible to install one of the rider navcores on this nav and if so which one will work with my unit? And which map would you advise
Car & Bike Models
Rider 1st & 2nd edition : 7.901
Urban Rider : 9.205
Rider 5 : 9.501.2

Thanks , simon

well it did work with the map you suggested, once i uploaded the navcore tomtom home picked it up and installed the last map available for the xl which worked fine, i then installed the 1100 map which is good also. one thing it does though is reset the map to the centre of London and reset the time each time its turned on, any ideas why it doesn't remember its last position?
also you cant hear any sound as it tries to connect to Bluetooth but there is no option to not have the sound through Bluetooth.

do you know of any way to wake itself when i turn the ignition on and it gets the power feed from the in car/bike charger?

thanks

It doesn't remember its last position?

In the start-up preferenses have you tick the richt box i.e.
continue where i left off
askfor a destination
show the main menu

Normaly you swich te Navi off with the on/off button. So the reset button is only for emergency,s and then you
go back to the factory settings.

also you cant hear any sound as it tries to connect to Bluetooth but there is no option
to not have the sound through Bluetooth.
Why you want an option it is navcore for a Rider and the only option
is bluetooth for the headset. I tried an earphone and it works for me.

I have it set up ticked to carry on where I left off yes, it seems to run a file before starting up each time, I have the rider version pre patched with changes.
Ideally I could do with the original TomTom navcores 9.501.2 rider 5 or the latest one but the file links seem broken do you know where I can download this?

I don't have a clue where to download it.
I found it on this forum
noref.php?url=http://download.tomtom.com/sweet/navcore/9.501.2-6030-CAB-navcore-RIDER5.cab

ok so with the skinned navcore the issue is the system does not let me 2 second power on it requires a 6 second press which is resetting it every time, any ideas?, the link above for this navcore noref.php?url=http://download.tomtom.com/sweet/navcore/9.501.2-6030-CAB-navcore-RIDER5.cab works but then it dosnt accept any maps even using the activation software, what map should go with that 9.501.2.6030 navcore?

basically all i want is the auto on off feature on my xl routes4et03 which the official navcore does not support but rider does.
