Start Navcore with newstyle simplified menu for most devices

Postby djc151084 » Wed Jul 28, 2010 9:05 pm

This is a sdcard backup created from an original Start, patched by DSA and then modified so the ttsystem interpretes the content "start" in reskin to set modelid to Start, So then this enables you to get the new Simplified menu look, see pics

At the moment this is a testing in progress navcore,

So feel free to test it out and leave your feedback and comments here , ALL CREDITS go to bmwdriver for his work providing us with this navcore

To Install ,

 • Copy all files and folders from the .rar archive to the device,

 • Add the mapfolder (can be already activated from an backup or activate with FastActivate 1.3 if needed)

 • Then you can start the device, The first start takes a while and one reboot will be performed this is normal.

 • Now you can add your voices ect ....

Please say in this thread any errors you get using this navcore then we can hopefully get them fixed for you ;)

LATEST POSTCODES Version 855 (GREAT BRITAIN AND NEDERLAND) Postcode v850

Extract and copy the "Zip" folder to the root of your TomTom.

Hi,

I just installed this navcore on a tomtom v2 and all works fine .
The only thing is that the icon "enable safety alerts" is unavailable. Do you know if it's why this option isn't yet developped or do I make something wrong?
Another question : Is the TTS option supported? If yes, I don't know how to activate it.:bo_mini:
Thanks in advance for you help.

PS : for me, planning a route via postcode works fine.

do you mean one v2 ?? in this case i do not reccomend this navcore for your device as it is a v9 navcore i do not reccomend any v9 navcore for small screen devices and this could be the problem to your display problem .

Hi djc151084,
Thanks for your quick response. I understand... that's probably why I don't see any POI option on the menus...
So, do you please know if there is any other navcore version with the same look & feel I can use with my "poor old device"?

Just go to "Plan Route" select "Address" change your keyboard to numbers and type in the post code. I will then route you.

bidiunet

The safety alerts can be found inside the "tomtom services" menu. To acces that, navigate your device untin you see "tomtom services" icon. Tap on it, follow the "trip" they offer, and at the end of it you'll get what you want (basicaly safety cams alerts)
