I have downloaded Europe Truck 965 7287 map,

how do i install it to my 550 Live

1) Take empty SD card from at least 4GB SDHC class 6 or higher.
2) Format the SD card Fat32 once slowly. If it's a new card then you can skip this.
3) Use NavCore 9.701 and unpack it (winrar o.i.d) and place the files and folders on the SD card.

4) Reset the device (at least 20 sec) and then run it till the notice "No card found"
5) Use map Europe Truck 965 7287. Unpack it and
Copy the new map to your SD card in its own folder.
When you open the map you see the individual files.
Not a map in a map.
6) Copy "FastActivate.exe" to your SD Card root.
Run "FastActivate.exe".
   Select 1 and 2
7) SD card in the device. Reset the device again (at least 20 sec)
Done

Thanks Holyhead, il give that a go been trying all afternoon with no luck. first got the map to work on original software and then managed to get the truck software to work but only with my original map. not sure what i was doing wrong

1. ANY class 4GB or larger SDHC card will do just fine.
2. Please don't format, unless you are having a problem with the card. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it)
3. Navcore 9.702 is current.
4. This whole step is un-necessary.
5. OK.
6. Run "FastActivate.exe" option 2 to patch the map & option 3 to patch the navcore. The integrated meta code file is up to date, so option 1 is not necessary.
A copy of your ttgo.bif file must be on the SDHC card for FastActivate to work.
7. OK. Reset is not necessary.

Hi Still not working, now saying i dont have the correct map installed, its as if it carnt see it on the SD card, please help i dont know what im doing wrong followed the instructions above exactly

Wich navcore you used ?

the one you posted a link to and some others "9.702.go_work-CAB-navcore-GO-WORK"

And with both navcores you have the same result.
9.702.go_work-CAB-navcore-GO-WORK has been patched. 3 from fastactivate

i have left the original files on the internal drive
Formatted the SD Card
Copied the navcore "NC_Truck)9.701_DSA (With SD)" to SD Card Root
Copied the Map folder "Europe_TRUCK_965_7287" to SD Card Root
Copied "ttgo.bif" from my internal drive to SD Card Root
Copied "FastActivate.exe" to SD Card Root
Run FastActivate Options 1,2,3 All OK

Inserted SD Card into TomTom. it loads original software with UK maps. I carnt see were i have gone wrong!!

If i delete all files from the internal memory but leave new files on SD as above and boot the TomTom it just flashes a picture of the HD and SD constantly.
If i move all files except for the maps to my internal storage "Internal Storage 1gb" it loads the truck software but carnt find the map.

Wich bootloader you have

Checking bootloader (the only reliable method)

Then turn on the device and hold the start button until you
get info screen. Which bootloader is there.

I don,t see where it goes wrong. Truckmap in his own folder and if you open the folder you see all the files.

At the moment it will boot truck application but carnt see map installed on sd card

Just an update it would appear that tomtom home cannot install the application on the sd card!
