TomTom XXL

Postby abdell1982 » Sat Jul 07, 2018 10:54 am

Hello,

I have an TomTom XXL IQ Routes Edition that is fully formatted (FAT32).

Bootloader version = 5.5279
RAM: 64 mb

I have done the follow things:
- used the clear flash tool of tomtom
- used the original navcore from tomtom and from here including this one NavCore 1.NC9.510_DSA_For 32Mb_ram_Voice+UK from this site
http://www.navitotal.com/noref.php?url=https://www86.zippyshare.com/v/ZT4V7zeq/file.html
- also used the navcore mentioned in this thread
http://www.navitotal.com/topic907.html

all of them results in a crash of the tomtom after selecting the time setting during the first install,
from what I know is that after setting the time you will get voice setting and there it crashes.
I think it is a resolution problem (emulation problem) is there somebody familiar with this and how to fix this or how to change the emulation

XXL complete empty then navcore on it. Reset and start the XXL till the announcement no map found.
If that don,t work I am afraid this is the end of the line.
Perhaps someone comes up with a solution.

A: I would empty the device and quick format it FAT32, then use TomTom Home to update the XXL. I know of no reason to stay away from TTH. Just update untill you got the 9.510 navcore.

Worth to try first:
B:
It could be the mapsettings.dat file which is causing a problem. Delete that.
Otherwise delete currentmap.dat and/or currentposition.dat.
Simple restart and it should work fine.

If not keep, follow step A and keep us posted!
