How am I supposed to know that they are the same. I figured the one with the higher version is more current.
I learned some thing new. Take care, and Merry Christmas to everyone here at Navitotal

The EDITION of a map is identified by the first 3 digits. A VERSION of that EDITION is identified by the last 4 digits. All VERSIONS of an EDITION are released at the same time, so no version is any newer than another version.

Still to big, I extracted them and deleted the cspeech files and the map folder is still 1.48gb. Poi's still 300mb

Does the USA map ever come out by itself. I'll never go to canada or mexico.

I'm downloading the usa 920-5241. There's no meta but I'm going to see if I can just use the poi's.

Wish me luck

I reached my destination in one piece, Hooray!
The poi's for 920-5241-usa were 177mb. I c/p them into my map folder and voila I got the the poi's back.
Thanks tendriver for all the help.
