No more than what was involved to install the 9.510 that you now have.

TT Home did my current one.
I guessing maybe copy then paste then overwrite old navcore. Correct?

Download the EXE and start it.
Read the instructions within the installer carefully and follow them.
The download is 126.49MB, compared to 42MB for the .cab downloaded directly from TT. Just be aware that there are extra goodies included.
Enjoy and report back.

RARProcessFile: 12
I clicked ok. then it said done extracting.
I'm gonna unplug it and see if everything is ok.

It seems fine. Auto on doesn't work and the only thing that it seems to have changed is the splash screen and the shut down screen.
Thanks.

It appears that your answer is in post 5. I would do a re-install.

Ok I found what the problem was, I didnt have enough space. Now i just need to clean it up. I moved poi's to my desktop and it completed with no errors. Now I need to move the poi's back which is 304mb and the free space on my TomTom is 231mb
Any Ideas?
Thanks

There are only two options...
a) use a smaller map
b) solder in a SD card

How about if i download the 5271 usa, canada map, extract it into a folder then compare it to see if it smaller and will fit then drag and drop the poi's from that folder and then into my TT 5271 usa, canada and mexico map folder.
Will this work or has anyone ever tried this?

Do you really need a map that includes Mexico?
USA_Canada_920_5241 [1450MB]. The total size of the DAT files, which you can't use, is more than 250MB. Deleting them will basically give you a 5271 map that is roughly 1200MB in total size.

There is no meta for 5271 usa canada and the whole download is around 100mb smaller.
I'm hoping the poi file is small enough.
The reason I want the 5271 is here in Cleveland OH the new inner-belt bridge is open now and i wanted the latest map.

1. I am well aware of this.
2. USA&C 5241 & USA&C 5271 are the same map, except 5241 has cspeech (the DAT files), which you can't use. By deleting them, you will have a 1200MB total size USA&C 5271 map.

Thanks.
How am I supposed to know that they are the same. I figured the one with the higher version is more current.
I learned something new. Take care, and Merry Christmas to everyone here at Navitotal
