We would like to help you, but since you give no details & we aren't mind readers, no help is possible.

Hello,
I want to request some assistance in setting up my TomTom XXL IQ Routes Edition GPS. It has only 2GB internal memory and no SD card slot. I have created a MyVersions.txt file as mentioned by moderators here on this forum. Please suggest what I have to do on my GPS device to get a working and functional 915.5271 map. I have already downloaded the map but I don't know what I am doing doing wrong as when I start my device it gets stuck on the TomTom logo and then I have to long press the power button to restart it (I also see a green screen just before it is about to shut down).
I could not find the button to attach the text file to this post so I am posting the details of the MyVersions.txt file.

EDIT: I have read a thread by moderator Downunder35m (http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?13390-A-freshly-installed-map-is-not-working) and most of my questions have been answered and now I am looking to find out how I can restore my old "Point of Interest" and "Favorites" back in the new setup.

1. Current official navcore for your device is 9.510.
2. The USA_Canada_and_Mexico_920_5271 map requires navcore 9.0XX or higher. This info can be found in the Navitotal map/navcore compatibility chart in post 1 of All New Maps 920.XXXX, Latest Europe TRUCK Map, and also post 2 of 920 Map Collections Only!!

Copy the mapsettings.cfg file from your old map to your new 5271 map folder.

What referral link is no longer valid??

Why is it always the first posting of a user that neither makes sense, nor contains any real problem or details?
"Hey, my car won't start, can you quickly tell me what is wrong without even looking at it?" .....

And by the way: the link from the first posting works just fine.

Excellent work! Thank you very, very much!! Also from my daughter, who happens to travel from Holland to New Zealand. And now, due to you, she and her friend will find their way during their three months stay. All the best from the Netherlands.
