Hi Downunder35m

The x10 worked fine on the road but had to turn it on before putting it on the car dock because it would not turn on when you placed it on the car dock. The x10 would auto-start with the official navcore but after the update it will not auto-start or start on the button when it is on the car dock or the Mains/USB dock. I will be staying with this setup as it is no problem to start it BEFORE placing it on the dock.
Thanks again for this great EMU.

Kind regards

Thanks for the feedback!
Did you check if the problem is the same if the device is on stand by or fully off?
The new kernel should have fixed this docking issues for good and on a 910 it is reported to work just fine.
There is the need to investigate now as docking the device to something with power should simply turn it on, no matter what.
Starting to really hate X10's...

TT910 Not Auto Starting on Dock

Postby teksil » Mon Sep 16, 2013 8:30 am

Hi Downunder35m

The unit will not start in any mode or on either dock.
I have checked on the unit and there is NO suicide.dat file installed, NO swap or turn_off file either.
I have copied the watchdogtrace.dat file and added them for you to peruse.
I have tried the installer again and it is not putting the above files on my unit.
Using Win7 64bit OS.

The unit did start up on its own twice after I put it away in its case but I thought I may have touched the start button when I put it down.

Kind regards

I will forward it to the kernel guys and report back if they found something.
Did you try any other versions from the installer or only the X10 version?
If you still use the HDD inside and no CF card you could check with the normal GO version again.

Hi Downunder35m

I have not tried any other versions.
I am still using the HDD.

I will try your suggestion of the Go version and report back when I have tried it.

Kind regards

I normally start my 910 before putting it on the dock; sometimes it doesn't turn on but does then auto start when docked. Don't remember why I start first - some historical problem, starting car with TT docked?Bbut more probably because I usually set the route/itinerary before getting in the car.

There are two types of dock, the one with the FM (TMC receiver) is always problematic.
According to the experts the auto turn on with these devices can only work if the TT stays in the dock and the ignition is turned on.
So dropping it into a powered dock will still cause a problem on the X10 series.
Also the contacts of the dock and the connector tend to get loose over the time.
This can cause (apart from other things) the TT to switch off during use, so if you noticed something weird keep in mind to check those contacts too ;)

1. Exactly!!
2. I prefer an overwrite installation. If all goes well, you have saved yourself a lot of time. If not, then you can do a clean install.
3. Yes & yes.

Please find alternative (temporary) download link in this post.

Available for download until 16 september 2013
Part 1/2 of downunder35m's Universal NavCore Installer - 250 MB total
File:
TT Universal NavCore Installer.p1.exe
Download link: [Please Register or Login to download file]

Part 1/2 of downunder35m's Universal NavCore Installer - 194 MB total
File:
TT Universal NavCore Installer.p2.rar
Download link: [Please Register or Login to download file]

Other than the naming (to my own taste) nothing has been changed in comparison to downunder35m's upload.
