This is the classic message when a map isn't patched. If you receive this message, the only way to be 100% positive that the map is successfully patched is to look for a .meta.dct file in the 5753 map folder. No file = not patched.

Many thanks. I really should have remembered that! (Running a newly downloaded FastActivate fixed the problem).
My only excuses are, it's now over 2 years since I last decided it was about time I need to update/upgrade my ONEXL maps; and I'm getting old and forgetful!
Sorry to have bothered you.
Kind regards

I am trying to update a tomtom one 3rd edition ( 512mb ram for a friend)

I installed the voice ( computer voice kate UK to the internal memory ( no sd card ).
This was followed by the the universal navcore . I installed the version for 32mb devices. 9.510

I then installed UK AND I 937 5913

Used fast activate to patch map. ( ttgo.biff added to internal memory )

After switching on , immediate no voices to use message.

Map itself is working fine .

Not sure what to do now.

Any advice ?

Computer voices don't work on those One models.
Just use regular recorded voices.

Hi
How can I return to the (native?) configuration that I had just prior to choosing an emulation skin?

You can use the skin chooser main menu option again.
You can edit the skin file.
You can reinstall the 9.510 files and overwriting the current ones.

There should be a skin option titled "self" in the skin options menu. If so, select it.

I'm sorry, I edited my post: Computer voices do not work on your One model.
Regular voices can easily be downloaded via TomTom Home and will automatically be placed in the 'voices' folder.

Ignore the message & continue with what you were trying to do. I have gotten the message, "This voice can't be used on this computer" several times. I ignore it then continue on & it works just fine. If not so with your unit, go back to post 1. One of the main purposes of this build is to allow 32MB units to use computer voices. I have highlited the references about computer voices not working. Make sure you have done everything correctly.

I installed computer voice kate , extracted files to internel memory.

When trying to change a voice , kate is not an option.

I have two voice folders LoquendoTTS and Voices.

Kate has been installed to route ( root )of internal mamory.

Is this correct ?

A LoquendoTTS voice belongs in the LoquendoTTS folder.

i put Kate in the loquendoTTS folder.

When I select change voice , Kate appears in the list but when I select and press test , no audio output.

A few moments later the satnav reboots.

I hope you opened the kate folder, copied the files and folders in it, then, following the bold instructions in post 1, copied them to the LoquendoTTS folder.
