Okay. I removed everything from the device and let TT Home put the 'correct' NavCore on it. Than I put on the new map, speedcams, ... And all should work properly?

Thx in advance, tendriver! :023:

I just want to thank the author for providing the patched LoquendoTTS as I managed to get TTS working on a TomTom XL IQ routes officialy not supported.

For quick technical details, as I wanted minimum modifications and w/o reinstall,
I patched the official navcore 9.510 ttsystem (installed with TTHome) including only dsa.ko and verm.arm from dsa8310 to set /proc/barcelona/hw_loquendo to 1 in rc script. No other stuff like reskins, hardwired sound etc...
I then took the patched LoquendoTTS from this installer and that's it.

What do you mean by that?
Music is included in the installer and active by default.

I was pleasantly suprised by it :-)

Hi,

First off many thanks to Downunder35m for the installer which worked brilliantly to change my old GO720 to a Rider with Bluetooth headset connectivity.

I do have one question though, the unit now shuts down when the power is disconnected but does not start when power is applied - any thoughts?

It does not always work as planned.
The auto power on feature is mainly for stops at the traffic lights or boom gates when you shut the engine off.
Once the device changes from sleep mode to fully off you have to manually switch it on.
Some devices do act on the power off but not on the power on, sometimes a hard reset helps for a while here.

Thanks for the explanation. As everything else works fine I have no complaints as it is a much better option than shelling out for a genuine Rider unit.

Thanks again.

Do you want to use the Rider features (that includes using a headset) or do you want to use the phone?
Asking as both is not possible here...

I thought that might be the case. I realy need the head set so can manage without the phone connected to the TomTom as my headset supports two devices I can connect it there. Dont need it when riding anyway, its only when stoped it saves taking off my helmet.. Thanks for the quick response.

You should be able to pair the headset in Rider emulation and the phone for example in X30 emulation.
