Hi!
I'm giving this a go! never tried anything like this before so we'll see..

Finger crossed and thanks in advance!

Read carefully before acting but this download is truly amazing and most older TT' benefit greatly from it.

Yeah i read alot of posts before even registering here, i figure i got nothing to loose since the navigator is so old
and the map is sooo outdated it takes really wierd turns out on fields now and then when driving.

Is there by the way no faster way of DL'in the maps? i was hoping for the norhtern europe one but in this "speed" it will take a good three days i think..

Cheers anyway for the extensive tutorials on the subject!

It's free so you can't beat the price but, yeah, you need to be patient.
If you put a little effort in it you can download well within three days.
You can also use another computer with another IP-address.
Of course I do understand your desire to have a fast download.
I upload maps via Zippyshare which works a lot faster but I'm afraid I haven't got the map you desire.

By the way: be sure to pick the right map! Eastern_Europe is a totally different map as Europa_East. You were talking about Europe_North?

There is always the option to use one of the many premium link generators...
Works only for single files but gives you full speed.

So!
I followed all instructions after reading carefully ;) really.. i did hehe
This was my first time ever doing anything alike with a navigator so i was prepared for failure.

Wiped TT (after backup), installed navcore, then map, then fastactivate to patch map - all installed witout errors! good times..
At startup i got two warnings about voices so i figured i would have to do a re-install but add the voice-file BEFORE the navcore like the tut.
Just from my own lazy nature i made an attempt in simply moving all the voices from backup into the TT.
A quick restart and EVERYTHING works great, language, voices, map, new cool menues and what not! :033:

PS I gave up on downloading the Europe North map, took too long!, i got the Scandinavian map instead, only 290mb i think.. ;)

Many thanks to downunder, razorblatter and all other members of NT for great forum and tutorials!

Time to go cruise the new freeway outside town and not the field next to it as my TT thought! :023:

Good! Have much fun with downunder's navcore installer.

Now you've done the hard part.
Installing new and other maps is a breeze from now on because you will not have to update the software again.
Replace map and activate. Done!

Hi guys.
i have the go 60 and i wanted to install africa maps. i assume i have to install the navcore. i downloaded the installer and the maps.
i connect my device and it does not show up under my computer. there is no drive for it. i cant explore the device folder.
is this normal ? if so..
how am i supposed to use the installer? i have already downloaded it. do i use it with tom tom home?
tom tom home does not recognize my device. "my drive connect" does recognize it. i can see the device under "devices"
my cable is original, the usb ports are functional, i have tried with another pc as well.
any guidance would be much appreciated.

Neither. The path to the link in post 371 had a bit of a crevasse blocking it, so I came up with a workaround.

[Please Register or Login to download file] .
This link will take you directly to the file factory download page. Scroll toward the bottom of the page, until you see 2 download buttons. The red rectangular button on the right is for the free download.
