4a: Download the computer voice of your choice and unpack the CAB file to your empty TT/SD DONE Computer voice Kate

5. From your backup copy the file ttgo.bif to the root of your TT/SD card. - Don't miss this step as otherwise you need to start your TT before you activate the map! DONE

6. Start the installer, read and check the provided infos and instructions within the installer carefully! DONE

7. Select the Navcore and version for your needs on the left, again, check the provided infos! 9.510 32 MB version DONE

8. Click on Install and select the drive letter of your TT/SD card - do not enter any paths as they will be created for you. DONE
UK AND I 937 5913

12. Using the latest!! version of FastActivate activate your map, the Navcore is patched and does not require any further "treatment" DONE

At this stage , the extracted computer voice Kate (loquendoTTS) files and folders are on the root of the internal drive , not in the loquendoTTS folder.

As a result of this Kate is not available as a voice

Tendriver suggests extract to LoquenoTTS folder - Now Kate is a available as a voice but when trying to use it on test , no sound output

Does it matter if the kate loquendpTTS files and folders are both in the LoquendoTTS folder and the root of the internel drive ?

B: The computer voice does not work
Make sure that you installed the Navcore after the voice, if in doubt run the installer again.
If not already used try the XL version of the Navcore. I have not tried the xl version as I am unsure if this was for 32mb or 64mb version Tomtoms and the tomtom 1 3rd edition is 32mb

Hi, I have a very simple problem: everything works fine, except the day-night scheme transition, is not working automatically.
Every time I switch from night and day and viceversa, it asks me if it has to be done automatically, and whathever I chose, it doesn't change automatically.

What can I do?

Hello Downunder
Thank you very much for this great job, I installed it on two machines and GO710 one XL v7 no problem, everything works the same voice, against the GO710 stops and restarts all alone as it is not used and not in its base.
There is there a solution that I would not have seen.
very cordially

1. Before you copy the kate files into the LoquendoTTS folder, there should be a bin folder & a lib folder already in it. Overwrite these 2 folders when copying kate into it.
2. Yes.
3. It is for 32MB XLs.

Are you saying that when you disconnect your 710 from your vehicle & turn it off, it still runs down the battery?

There should be a skin option titled "self" in the skin options menu. If so, select it.

I'm using the same NC9.510 and UK AND I 937 5913 map on my OneXL (on SD card) and Go720. Both units show skin options of "X20>X40>X30>X50>X20>" i.e. no "self" option.

The native skin for the Go720 is obviously X20, but I can't return to the native skin for the OneXL that I saw before using the skin chooser. Any suggestions?

Will keep you updated on this one.

Satnav is back in the owners possession .

He's very happy but to get TTS working would be brilliant

Open the file "reskin" in the folder "skins" with Notepad++
Edit the first entry so that it shows the emulation you want to use.
It currently reads: 25-GO x30;25-GO x30;37-GO x50;37-GO x50;18-GO x20;24-GO x40

Edit it to read: slf-Self;25-GO x30;25-GO x30;37-GO x50;37-GO x50;18-GO x20;24-GO x40
NOT IT? Then: 34-ONE;25-GO x30;25-GO x30;37-GO x50;37-GO x50;18-GO x20;24-GO x40
NOT IT? Then: 35-XL;25-GO x30;25-GO x30;37-GO x50;37-GO x50;18-GO x20;24-GO x40

This raises two questions in my mind...
1. Are the repetitive entries in the same line intentional/essential?
2. Can all of the skin options be entered in the same line?
Thanks again!

1. If they weren't, they wouldn't be there.
2. I'm not sure what you are asking.

1. If they weren't, they wouldn't be there.
2. I'm not sure what you are asking.

1. Unlikely as it seems, I had to ask: the repetitions/duplicates could have been a mistake. Sorry if I seemed to be doubting your expertise!
2. Closer inspection now reveals to me that only six or seven entries (some duplicated) appear in that first line (between semicolons). I was asking if those six or seven (or more) entries could be seven (or more) different skins. Your answer now shows that the structure of that line is quite rigid.

Enough said. Thanks for your help. I'll be following your advice in due course.
