Universal Navcore Installer

Postby bondy99 » Sat Oct 19, 2013 2:18 am

Hi people,

I dont know if this is the correct place to put this post or elsewhere. Sorry if this is the wrong location and hope the mods can correct this for me.

I have TomTom XXL540 with ALG + IQ Routes Edition .It has the latest Australian Map v915.5075

In the System Info it has Device XXXXX XXXXX
App 9.510.1234792.2 OS 842337
(2039, 4/4/2013)
64 MB RAM (free 24.2MB)
GPS v1.2 Boot 5.5279
Compliant with the NF Mark

I am trying to update my mates TomTom, it's identical in model it too is XXL540 but of an older vintage

It has an older Navcore v8xxxxxxx
Old Australian Map v8xxxxxxxxx
Its birthdate is 2010.

I use TomTom Home v2.9 to update my device without problems (so far)

If TomTom Home v2.9 does not or can not update my mates device. Can I download Navcore 9.510 , install and run FastActivate and then install latest Australian Map for that version or is there other stuff I need to do before this can be done?

My device does not have an external SD card and neither does his. Both models have internal memory only.

I do need help on this.

Thanks, Bondy99

You'd better delete your device ID in your post.

But yes, you can !
Update via TT Home as far as it goes and then use Downunder fantafabulastic v9.510 Universal installer.
Best thing since pancakes. Simply run and it will overwrite your existing files.

Just be aware that Downunder's modded Navcore uses about 125 MB precious space on your internal drive.
If you want the most elaborate maps, you're bound to get into trouble if you only have 1 GB storage space.

1. So does everybody else, with a very few rare exceptions.
2. The simplest way is to make a cut & paste backup of your friends current setup.
Remove his Old Australian Map only from his unit. Copy everything, except your ttgo.bif file, from your device to his.
Confirm that his ttgo.bif file is still on his unit, then patch the new Australian map on his unit, by running FastActivate Latest Update option 2 only.
Done. Disconnect & reboot.

All XXL 540s, except the 4GB WTE model, have a 2GB internal memory & no card slot.

Hi downunder. I have read this section and tried to download the Universal Navcor Installer from your first post. Password works OK at filefactory, but I get 404 error. I also tried to download from weTransfer from Post #13 but I get a message that says !sorry files no longer available. I also went to the tutorials section and read. I tried to download maps from the General Discussions Thread under All New Maps 915.XXXX, but from the links provided there, I get tons of adfly popups. I submitted to lots of the adfly advertisements in hopes of get access to the maps. I also clicked on the Skip Ad link and still I get more ads. Please help me because I have tried everything that I can think of to download these files, but with no luck. Would it be possible to upload them to 4shared, or 2shared? Thank You for your help sir.

All New Maps 915.XXXX post 1, which includes the download instructions, & post 2 are Navitotal downloads using LinkSave & FileFactory, not adfly. Any links after post 2 are third party, which are not supported by Navitotal.

You are very welcome.
And yes, this forum is great and with very dedicated moderators !

Just be aware that I used the same (posted) links from downunder as you did.
So it seems the problem is there on your end.

I do use a popup blocker in Chrome -> 'Better Pop Up Blocker'

Hello.

I'm getting 404's on both parts right now.

Is this NavCore not up to date?
