Updated to navcore 9.540.2-2040 but TT reboot in loop

Postby nimocorp » Wed Jun 10, 2015 3:32 am

:022: Hi all

My device is a TT One (v8) Canada 310 N14644, the original (or originally upgraded application version/navcore was 8.017 and the map was 835, which is very old..

ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8017
ApplicationVersion=9381
CurrentMap=United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland
CurrentMapVersion=835.2420

So I wanted to update this by upgrading the navcore in order to use newer maps

I have used a navcore 9.540.2-2040-CAB-navcore-LE by extracting its content on the root on the device and now my device keeps on rebooting, I had the error 573 on the TThome so I searched on the forum and found that I had to rename the file ttgo.bif to ttgo.bak changing the value since the upgrade, below, to the values ApplicationVersionVersionNumber and ApplicationVersion of prior to the upgrade but still the reboot occurs

ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9540
ApplicationVersion=1497205.2
CurrentMap=United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland
CurrentMapVersion=835.2420

Do I need to upgrade the map for this to work or what shall I do? (the map I wanted to use is United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_950_6492.zip)

I have backup the content of the device via explorer as well as via TTHome, so I hope I could use that as a last resource if all fails..

Can anyone please help?
Any input will be very much appreciated

P.S: some more info:

Re: Updated to navcore 9.540.2-2040 but TT reboot in loop

I have now installed the map in question United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_950_6492 by removing the old one, patching the map and navcore (again) with FastActivate
I can now see the version shows as 9.540 and map as v950.6492 but I cannot navigate, access the menu, if I click on the screen, it just freezes and after few seconds reboots..

What can I do to fix this?

- Change navcore
- update the map

or revert back to original via explorer backup of content?

Please advise

With a bit more reading you would have found our tutorial section - the first place to look for troubleshooting and learning.
You have ONE and want to use a cab file for an XL - it does not work that way.
Check the Navcore section for my Installers ;)

My installers are compatible with almost any TT sold before 2010, located in the Navcore section - there should be no problem finding them.
The map chart in the latest map thread shows what map can be used on a Navcore - since my installeres are all 9.2xx or above you can use any map that has meta code posted.
May I suggest to stop paniking and take a deep breath? ;)

I am just wondering if I can upgrade my navcore to a compatible one for my TT model so I can upgrade a newer map which as advance lane guidance and other features.
my current version/navcore is 8.017 and the map is 835

Thanks in advance!

Forget this, it doesn't apply for your issue.

Ok some progress, I managed to find your navcore installer downunder and installed the 32mb version of 9.510, which is working well, thanks for that

Now, I am still using the old map (v835.2420) so I will check what new map can work with this new navcore 9.510

Any recommendation anyone?
What is best for TT one v8?

ANY & ALL maps are compatible with 9.510. Now it's just a matter of selecting a map that will fit in the storage memory that you have available.

You found the other things, so I am confident you will manage the voices too.
And for the next map it will be all soo much easier as you now know what to do.
