1. -delete all files and folders from my tomtom
2. -unzip and copy Navcore 8.398.1917 WORK inc. Truck - for Go7000/9000, go520/720/920, Go530/730/930 to my tomtom.
3. -unzip pre-patch second folder ttsystem and send to my tomtom then is ask me if i want to replace ttsystem file because its already in the root of the tomtom i say yes
4. -when i finish all this i turn the tomtom and it stay on tomtom logo.
5. thats all what i am doing i havent got to the maps yet.should copy the maps as well for the tomtom to start?thanks

1.This is not necessary. I always copy a new navcore over the old, overwriting any common files.
2. OK, if combined with answer 1
3. See new link in post 10.
4. See answer 5.
5. A unit will not boot without having a map loaded.

I know you must be getting confused with the different instructions.

RECAP:

1. Start with your backup loaded.
2. Copy the 8.398.cab onto your device, overwriting any common files.
3. Copy in the SE ttsystem & PNDNavigator files in post 6 overwriting any common files.
4. Remove your old map folder. Copy in the new map folder & patch it if not already patched.
5. Reboot.

Your bootloader must be 5.5015 or higher to use a 4GB card.

The bootloader in Truck 8.398 is 5.5120. In the 8.398.cab the bootloader is a file named system. Copy this system file onto you OLD card. Put the card in your 510 & reboot. This will install the 5.5120 bootloader. Your 510 should now see the 4GB card.

Thank You!!

TomTom Official Speedcams 09.12.11

TomTom Official Europe Fuel Prices 10.12.11

Suggestion: Remove everything from the 910, except the ttgo.bif file. Copy the entire contents of the 510 card, except the ttgo.bif file & paste it into the 910. Delete the 2 .dct files in the 910 map folder & repatch the map. Disconnnect & reboot.
