i need navman n40i original backup files...

hy team,i nedd smartst desktop for navman n40i to restore to ,i dont need igo or other program,this gps have photo cam and not work with any other program ,i tink......please help

Without the Navman maps it won't help you and so far these maps can not be cracked.
The original software can be obtained from Navman as a download after registering your device.
Otherwsie unlock it and use a other software and a digicam for your pictures.

all i want is to get camara to working and if its posible to put igo primo or igo 8 but important is to get camara to work,help me please with a camara program.......

I only have a firmware from 2006 for this Navman but that won't give you the software.
Imho it is not really worth the camera as you get proper GeoPix Cams these days.
Any cheap mobile phone gives you more than the 1.3 megapixels ;)
I think you only have two options:
1. hope that someone still has this device and can make a backup of the software
2. forget about the cam and use it as a normal GPS with Igo or Primo.

The only way to get the software other than from another user is to register your device at Navman and ask the support for the software CD for your device.
With the last Navman I checked I could download the lastest software right after the registration using the links provided after the log in.

Can you upload somewhere this firmware? I also have a firmvare, but the screen image is shifted left. Firmvare is another model screen with another driver.

The firmware would only help for a ICN520 and only if the thing has a firmware older than 2006 installed.
If in doubt throw it in the bin, if you have not messed up the firmware the screen won't be fixed with a new firmware as it is more likely that it is a hardware fault.
If you still find them on Ebay a ICN520 can go for under 30$

Navman used two types of screens for n40i. My device does not load WinCE. I found firmware for N40i, but another model, another model screen. Now the image is shifted by 1 mm on the left and it's not a hardware problem. Unit and also works, but if you can flash the original firmware will be better.
