Hi All,
My parents have got an older Garmin Navi 760 with 2GB built in storage space plus a 4GB memory card installed.
I'm attempting to install City Navigator Europe NT 2016.20 using the update program. I'm selecting most of the UK plus France, Germany, Belgium, Spain and Portugal but its saying "Over by 962.0 MB" and telling me I need to unselect some of the maps, however I don't think this is attempting to use the memory card to add the maps too.
Can anyone help me out with the best way to add the whole of the Europe maps to my Garmin please?

Make a folder with the name Garmin on the SD card and place the unlocked map in the folder Garmin.
Change the name from to map to gmapsupp.img
Like to hear the result Good or Bad.

Hi,
Sorry for the delay! I'm now about to try this - Do I need to download the 3D unlocked version, image or Map source data with .msi installer?

For this device you need only an unlock image and if i remember well smaler than 2GB
So is better to install the map on your PC first with msi unlock it and then create a new installation map for your device directly with the areas that you want

Ok Brilliant thank you.
I've just downloaded City Navigator Europe NTU 2017.10 so I'm having a play with those

Hmmm, I copied the 4GB img file on to the SD card, in a folder called Garmin.
When I turned it on, I got an alert to say that the 2008 maps were out of date, however it all loaded etc. Then I went to Tools > Settings > Map > Map Info and it says CN Europe NTU 2017.10 [1] ALL and its ticked, so I'm assuming its using the 2017 maps?

The message out of date it may be showned if the map date is over than two or three years old.
The fact that you see on the settings of the map 2017.10 means that this is current used map.
