I'm new here and I'm hoping someone can give me some step by step instructions to get these maps to work on my DriveSmart 55 that I bought in the USA (that only has North American maps on it). I had to buy it to replace my Nuvi 2595 that died while I was over there, now that I'm back home I'm up **** creek without any Australian maps. I've had a look at the tutorials on here and really can't get my head around what files need to go where.

I've FAT32 formatted a 16gb MicroSD card and I've tried putting the files where I think they should go but I just get a generic "maps are corrupt and can't be used" message when I restart the DriveSmart.

G'Day Mate,unfortunately the Newest DriveSmart 52-55-65 are not able to be fixed to read unlocked maps.
What happened to your nuvi 2596,maybe we can recover the Lifetime maps to use elsewhere.
