I recommend an unlocked image less than 2GB, like "Western Europe" or "Central & Eastern Europe" from #1 or "2 GB for old nuvi/gsm" from #3.

But I can't tell you how to get it on your kenwood device. Original Garmin devices you can connect to PC via USB to copy new map on it or you can insert SD/µSD card with new maps.

Thank you for the answer.
I tried unlocked image “central & eastern Europe” but it didn’t work. I get the same disk error on any of my tries. The device have DVD drive and usb cable to connect flash disk or ipod. I can update the system software by putting the update file in a CD or DVD in a \garmin\ folder. I tried the same method for the maps with no success.

Here [Please Register or Login to download file] is written, that Kenwood devices only can be updated with special versions of Garmin maps, but I know this is wrong!

Kenwood units with SD slot simply can use most Garmin map images named gmapsupp.img in folder Garmin. And if you get access to internal memory (maybe via rear mini-USB connector?) you can replace original gmapprom.img with new map image.

Thanks. Next time just make it available on a easier file hosting service. It takes so long to download all the parts and there are many restrictions (speed, number of download per day, maximum MB/hour, etc...)
