If the GarminDevice.xml file is corrupted or missing from the device, the following errors may occur:
When running a Garmin application:
Some devices were found however none have the necessary capabilities
Index was outside the bounds of the array
When using the Garmin Communicator Plugin on the website:
A spinning blue circle (busy icon) can appear if the device is not recognized
Unable to get the value of the property childNodes: object is null or undefined
To resolve this issue:
Verify the device has enough space - The device has to have some free space on it to properly create its GarminDevice.xml file. Just a couple of MBs should be sufficient. If other data were loaded to the device (pictures, MP3 music, etc.), these data may be taking up space the device needs to properly create its XML file. Remove these files to free up space on the device and try again. To check the free space on the Garmin device:
Windows
Connect the Garmin device to the computer
Open My Computer (XP) or Computer (Vista/7)
If the Garmin is listed in Portable Devices, right-click the device
Select Open
Right-click the Internal Storage or Garmin device
Select Properties
Mac
Connect the Garmin device to the computer
Locate the Garmin drive (Generally on the Desktop or in Finder)
Right-click (or hold "control" key + click) the Garmin drive
Select Get Info
Expand the General option to display the available space
Run Garmin WebUpdater - Use the Garmin WebUpdater application to update the device's software. The Garmin WebUpdater can be downloaded from: [Please Register or Login to download file]
Delete the GarminDevice.xml file
Windows
Connect the Garmin device to the computer
Open My Computer (XP) or Computer (Vista / 7)
If the Garmin device is listed under Portable Devices, right-click the device
Select Open
Right-click on the Garmin (dezl, nuvi, zumo, or Internal Storage) drive
Select Open
Go into the Garmin folder
Cut and Paste the GarminDevice.xml file to the Desktop
Disconnect the Garmin device from the computer (safely remove hardware if needed)
Allow the device to boot up to the main menu (30 seconds or so)
Reconnect the Garmin device to the computer
Run the Garmin application again to see if the device is detected
Mac
Connect the Garmin device to the computer
Locate the Garmin device on the Mac (should mount as a drive in Finder or on the Desktop)
Double-click the Garmin drive
Double-click the Garmin folder
Drag the GarminDevice.xml file to the Desktop - this should make a copy on the Desktop
Drag the GarminDevice.xml file (on the device) to the Trash
Empty the Trash
Eject the Garmin device
Disconnect the Garmin device
Allow the device to boot up to the main menu (30 seconds or so)
Reconnect the Garmin device to the computer
Run the Garmin application again to see if the device is detected
Master Reset the device - Sometimes if there is corruption on the device, performing a reset can resolve the issue. A reset will usually clear all data off the device and restore the device back to factory settings. For instructions, search FAQs, e.g., nuvi reset.
Once the corrupted GarminDevice.xml file has been corrected so that it can create a valid GarminDevice.xml file, the device should be seen by the Garmin application.
and then put the files that i gave you in the Garmin directory try with both of them ! Maybe the smaller first
