the french map works like a charm just only for you.
The iberia when I get on gps works fine.
When I join the maps together in gmaptool the Iberian map works and the French when I zoom do not appear the roads ...

Try to use them as separate Maps.
I don't know which device you have, but it's possible on every Garmin to have more than one Map installed

So it can only be the French map that is not good.
My device is the garmin nuvi 255.

You can use maps with names like gmapprom.img gmapsupp.img together
in the newer device you may have at directory map any name as many you like

As I said the problem can only be of the map because even when I use only the map of France, the device only detects it when together the two maps. When I put it just the map of France does not work correctly.

I do not know how old is your device but generally the names of the maps are like
For any PNA based Garmin unit:
gmapsupp.img (always the default name from mapsource)
gmapsup1.img (additional on SD card)
gmapprom.img (Garmin main memory)
For Garmin XT
all three can exist on the SD card.
In newer devices which contains a map directory could exist any name

I own an old Nuvì 205T, very similar to yours.
I put the Map of France on microSD, along with the internal one with Italy-Switzerland-Austria, etc.
This is the result:



I also simulated a route from Florence to Lyon (in France), no problem



I think the problem is just yours, I'm sorry but I do not know what to advise you if not what has already been said to you.

PS. The Nuvì 255, if equipped with Firmware 7.60 or +, accepts 2 Maps on microSD.

Since I'd some free time and out of curiosity, I downloaded 'France NT 2018.10.rar' from Post #20. Placed the 'gmapsupp.img' file [size: 488 MB (511,959,040 bytes) with MD5 of 034976ac4f4a0a69f2c7c50e42eaf14d] found in the extracted 'France' folder onto an SDcard and insert into an old nuvi 200. Simulated a route between Paris and the Eiffel Tower, and it worked perfectly fine. FYI.

In fact I get the maps into the garmin gps and now the two are working.
When I put maps together with gmaptool, the French map does not work well. The problem really comes from gmaptool.
I also updated the software, did not even know it could be done (I never did).
By placing the two maps in the micro sd, the same maps that work in the internal memory, do not work in the card. Is it sd card problem being too big for this GPS? (The card has 8GB).
When I put a map on the card it only detects gmapsupp.img and not the gmapsup1.img

Didn't think they were doing NT versions anymore. So this is a welcome bonus for my Nuvi 660

Is this NT map actually new.
I have looked for several roads that were built in December 2015 and they do not appear on the updated map.
Look for a road called Heritage Way in Brymbo and it did not find it.
