Noob question; is it also possible to combine maps? For instance; i would like central europe with Benelux + France maps. Can i rename one gmapprom.img to gmapprom1.img and that my nuvi350 can read the gmapprom and gmapprom1?

2gb model without sd card installed at the moment.

To make things clearer; i would like to have the countries BeNeLux, Germany, Austria, Czech, France, Spain, Portugal
(more like Western Europe in TomTom Here maps)

Edit 2:
Installed Benelux + France map (gmapprom) and renamed an ALPS &DACH map from gmapprom to gmapsupp (saw this filename in an earlier post).
Copied the gmapsupp to internal memory of the nuvi and it seams to recognize it....!

Still one qustion remains: how do the maps interact? if I wanted to drive from France to the Alps, does the nuvi calculate a route or do i have to switch maps on the border of Frans/Alps

All the maps share the same FID 8231 so will work well together,the next map set Spain & Portugal will go in a Garmin folder on your SD card named gmapsup1

hmmm... another question pops up;
I've downloaded 3 maps (benelux & france, germany, spain & portugal). There is enough room on the internal drive to place all 3 maps there. But the nuvi will only see 2 maps max...
Can this be altered?

Yes replace 3 with 1 map

I downloaded the City Navigator Europe NT 2020.20 FID 8231 map with no problem
How to reduce this total map of europe to 2 GB by removing the countries of my choice?
This card is too big for my Nuvi 350 (maximum card at 2 GB even the one on SD card)
The proposed combinations do not correspond to my needs

[Please Register or Login to download file] is the tool to make your own map sets.
Download MapSource files from post #1,unpack and copy City_Navigator_Europe_NT_2020_20.gmap folder to C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps.
Make map to correspond to your needs,use [Please Register or Login to download file] to use on your device.

Well to the Southwest EU 1.24 GB card (France, Andorra, Monaco, Spain, Switzerland, Italy) which is already available I would like to add Austria Slovenia Croatia and if possible Portugal last (if Portugal does stay below 2GB).
If you can do that to me that would be great.

You only need to replace the gmapprom and the .jcv files on the device.There is a possibility the new Full EU file is too big, so choose a region or use an SD card
