I'm a new member and I've downloaded the Central Region for my Nüvi 1240, but it seems that the files doesn't work because after installing them, my nüvi 1240 tells me that no navigation files are installed/available. Do I do something wrong or does this files not working for my nüvi 1240?

Welcome to the forum.
These NT maps are correct for your nuvi 1240.
You did not say where you copied the extracted gmapsupp.img map file to, the device storage or an SD card.
Their location & name is different depending where it is.
A simple tool like [Please Register or Login to download file] is a safe way to see and manage your map files
[Please Register or Login to download file]

On the device
.system/gmapprom.img
<Name>PreProgrammedMaps</Name>
<File>
<Specification>
<Identifier>IMG</Identifier>
</Specification>
<Location>
<Path>.System</Path>
<BaseName>gmapprom</BaseName>
<FileExtension>img</FileExtension>

On a Fat 32 formatted SD card
Map/gmapsupp.img
<Name>SupplementalMaps</Name>
<File>
<Specification>
<Identifier>IMG</Identifier>
</Specification>
<Location>
<Path>Map</Path>
<BaseName>gmapsupp</BaseName>

Is there (or will there be) a non-Unicode (as in NT, not NTU) 2025.10 Europe map?

City Navigator Europe NT maps are for older devices and are not updated as often.
2024.10 came out this time last years so 2025.10 should be be soon.

On your FAT 32 formatted SD card 16Gb>32Gb create a folder called Garmin, rename the 2 map files gmapsupp.img & gmapsup1.img place in the new folder
Your garmindevice.xml shows the location & naming standard.
<Name>SupplementalMaps</Name>
<File>
<Specification>
<Identifier>IMG</Identifier>
</Specification>
<Location>
<Path>Garmin</Path>
<BaseName>gmapsupp</BaseName>
<FileExtension>img</FileExtension>
</Location>
<TransferDirection>InputOutput</TransferDirection>
</File>
</DataType>
<DataType>
<Name>SupplementalMaps1</Name>
<File>
<Specification>
<Identifier>IMG</Identifier>
</Specification>
<Location>
<Path>Garmin</Path>
<BaseName>gmapsup1</BaseName>
<FileExtension>img</FileExtension>

Hello, the question has probably been asked many times, what should I do after I download the Nuvi 1300 maps? If you can give me links to the topics to read. I assume the firmware needs to be changed and also unlock the cards for the respective firmware or am I mistaken?

I moved your post to the NT version of the Europe maps as older devices are not compatible with NTU maps.
Your device's firmware does not need to be Patched to use these unlocked maps

Ок. I start downloading this version then. Thank you for the advice. :)
Is there a way to make both east and west maps visible in the navigation since they have the same name gmapsupp.img?

Edit: Thank you very much for the tips. Everything works fine. :)

All of Europe NT is split into West & East
On a FAT 32 formatted SD card create 2 folders Garmin & Map

Map/gmapsupp.img
Map/gmapsup1.img
Garmin\JCV\D3084300A.jcv
Garmin\JCV\D8958030A.jcv

Welcome to the forum.
Your device is designed to use NT maps so I've moved your post here.
