Agreed just a rumour ,until proven.
Maybe Damian you could prove or dispel it for us all.

"Maybe" GarminNuvi just waits for another couple
of month to find out for himself whether Garmin
deprives us from the 2026 version? ;-)

I'm very pleased for your work, thank you!
Could anybody reupload it?
Thanks

Western Europe is enough. I apologize for all the questions - I am used to TomTom. This device was thrown away - but after flashing "latest" :D 4.10 firmware it works and a friend can then still use it. So thank you very much once again!

On a FAT 32 formatted SD card create a folder called Garmin download the .img file and rename it gmapsupp.img and copy to the Garmin folder on the SD card

Update, works perfectly - I used "NT2025.10-Western Europe.img":
1. rename "NT2025.10-Western Europe.img" to "gmapsup1.img"
2. create folder on SD-Card "Garmin"
3. copy "gmapsup1.img" in the "Garmin" folder
4. place the SD-Card into the nüvi 250W
5. be patient around 20 seconds (it's an older slower device) - but then under "settings/maps" the new map will be available. Feel free to unselect the older on-device map to save the device some resources and you some time and only use the new map.
Sadly 2025.10 will be the last official NT map release from Garmin. But we'll see, maybe in 1+ year switching to OpenStreetMap will again grant some more life for the device and make a person happy.
@GarminNüvi - Thank you VERY MUCH, you rock!

Can you upload "Unlocked Regional Maps under 2GB for older devices" specifically Northwest_Eastern ?
