I think it is your browser that is asking to install an app as you obviously have got to the Mega files and have tried to to download them, Google Chrome does not have any download size limit.

Thanks for answer, but this app is not from group Mozilla but from Mega (with funds from chinese banks, I do not trust Chinese investors). Ok, with my other laptop, I shall try Chrome. (And some links exist for this problem between Mega & Firefox). ah la la ! Life is not simple !

Works fine with a patched Basecamp too, couldn't install Mapsource sinxe I don't have a previously installed version. Even an old Mapsource install said no.

Without sounding obvious ,you will need to install the Software MapSource on Windows PC as the .gmap folder only holds the unlocked map files.
Copy and paste the .gmap folder to C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps and then they will show up in MapSource.

You didn't say what device, but I guess it is a Kenwood ?
Check out kenwood/ to see what Garmin maps work on what device.

No, its not a kenwood device. Lets say i own a Audi,Mercedes etc. with factory navigation system but i don't have the maps.

Do we have general instructions how to install the maps on the sd card?

Let's say you look at the Audi & Mercedes part of this forum as they have their own navigation platform

True, but they don't offer all countries as far as i know. This is the reason i am looking for the Garmin Europe maps.
Anyway the .img files that i need to install at the SD card are based on the navigation device i have?

To prevent any unnecessary extra files on your computers system drive, you can also make a shortcut to the *.Gmap directory and copy that to the 'C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps' folder.

In post 1 are all the links. Copy the link ( ....://mega.nz/.... ) of the full version or the region of your choice in Chrome ( then download is working without installing extra software ) and download the files.

I'm trying to get this map working on my Garmin 64s, but it won't work.

I downloaded the full version ( City Navigator Europe NTU 2020.20 UN ) and tried it in BaseCamp to be sure it's unlocked: the map works fine. But when I copied it to my gpsmap 64s and it's keep saying "Can't Authenticate map. Contact..... ".

I tried NTU maps many times before ( in the past years ), but i can't get it working. Thats why i'am normally using only City nav. NT versions, which works always without any problems.

Did I forget something? Please, anyone a solution?

You will need to patch your device to use unlocked maps, confirm your HWID from your garmindevice.xml then I'll give you a link to the correct Patched firmware

Thank you for your information. So every time Garmin has an update for my gps, I need a new patched firmware !

To install gps firmware updates, I don't use any Garmin software ( no need to ). I update my gps manual/myself ( rename the file to 'Gupdate.Gcd' and copy the file in the ..\Garmin directory ). Or can/must the patched firmware only be installed by Garmin's WebUpdater ?

Is it possible to download the FirmwarePatcher myself and patch my own files ?

And my last question : Could you please give me the link to the patched firmware.
