I did what you told me and it did go well with no errors.

Ok, it is ok for me to put maps in the Map folder. I have a map I am going to put on the Map folder.
How about POIs. Do I put a folder on the same level as the Map and Garmin folders?
How about safety cam GPI, are the same as POIs?
The JCV files are put in the same way I guess.
I appreciate your kind help.
Icedog

Now you have Patched your device, after you deleted the contents of the Garmin folder you can start to download the correct files from the Torrent.
The Unlocked map names seam to be the same gmapsupp.img ,so rename them to be unique I use EUN.img & EUS.img

Safety Camera go in the POI folder on the device.

I'll have torrent file of unlocked map available tonight if anyone is interested.

This board requires you to be registered and logged-in to view hidden content.

Bear in mind I'm a sole seeder so it can take some time to download it.

Copy the gmap folder to C:\Program Data\Garmin\Maps. Usually this is a hidden folder

You Posted this question in the NT maps thread, but used the "Thanks button" for UK & ROI NTU what maps did you install ?
Firstly newer device like yours use NTU maps & JCV files from this thread, it's highly likely this is you problem.

Maybe as my basemap is the North America, maybe it doesnt like the NTU supmap? Ill try going back to the 2022.10 NT UK and Ireland map and see if that solves it...

Hello all.
I have Garmin ZUMO 396 LMT-S with 32GB SD Card installed. I had problem with putting unlocked IMG files on sd card, but after I patched device it works fine.
Can you please tell me what to do with additional files and where to put it in my device. If there is explanation on this forum please tell where to find detailed manual for my device. Thanks.

error "cnt unlock map"
can please guide me.sunday i am traveling

Using the "Thanks button" would tell us what post you downloaded from, but guessing it's the one Torrent has both Locked & Unlocked and includes the tool to unlock .img's yourself in the Cure folder.

If this is your BMW Motorrad VI ,it uses NTU maps for Europe.

Posting in multiple threads a & using PM's giving a 1 day deadline is not an efficient use of members time willing to help.
It would have been better to tell us yesterday, the day you joined ,all the maps you needed and for which device based on your imminent travel plans.
.img files need to edited to have unique names ,JCV,SID & SQLite are already unique from each other.

Hello!
I have a garmin nuvi 2689 and i put a new map of Eastern Europe on the sd card in /Garmin as gmapsupp.img

I read somewhere the map doesnt need to be named gmapsupp.img and can be in a /map folder instead of /garmin folder?
if true then i can have WEurope.img and EEurope.img in the /map folder on an sd card or should it go into a /Garmin folder on the sd card?
Thank you!

Your nuvi 2689 uses these NTU maps for Europe, download from this torrent
