Discovered and corrected an issue with the North America map update that may cause to experience difficulty selecting a state when the unit is set in a language other than English.
If planning to use only the English language on your unit then it is not necessary to download the corrected map.

Install mapsource:
Windows XP:
Copy "City Navigator North America NT 2011.31.gmap" folder into
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps
OR
%APPDATA%\GARMIN\Maps

Vista and windows 7:
Copy "City Navigator North America NT 2011.31.gmap" folder into
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GARMIN\Maps
OR
%APPDATA%\GARMIN\Maps
(or something like that all other languages)

In Mapsource select map from menu View/Switch to products

I keep having problems unrarung "unlocked image" keep telling me wrong pass i typed in Huntsman i copy and pasted it but keep getting
C:\Users\***\Desktop\CNNA201131UL.z02: CRC failed in the encrypted file CNNA201131UL\GMAPPROM.IMG (wrong password ?)

nm i downloaded 1 below that and it worked

city navigator north america nt 2011.31.gmap.part05
city navigator north america nt 2011.31.gmap.part06

does the word "part" in the file implies that it must be "assembled"?

how do i go from this point, to having it installed in mapsource. (and operating with full vitality and purposeful functionation?)

please help
