but the difference is very small (Alaska 48mb + Mexico 356mb) so most just use the N. America 3.67 GB (3,942,580,224 bytes) on an SD card.

Canada & USA 3.33 GB (3,576,823,808 bytes) might be worth seeking

You do not say what RAR file or which post you downloaded from, using the "thumbs up" button would have helped.
Using Basecamp/Mapsource on a PC Post #1 has the correct files and how to install (no exe or MSI required)

gimgum is just skipping each file as they are already unlocked

Unfortunately, still not working. With Garmin Express, I get the message "no compatible map for your device". If I place everything on the sd card I got the message when I start the navi "corrupt card found, please use Germin/express to correct them"

Your nuvi 1300 only uses the map file.

Thank you. I created a garmin folder on a freshly formatted sd card, and put the gmapsupp.img in that folder as your specifed and all is working perfectly. thanks again.

also, i have found that using the sd card formatter tool from sd card org is a good tool to have for sd card that might not work otherwise. it has worked a few times when normal formatting through windows explorer did not fix the issue but the formatter tool did.

Is anyone else having an issue with the downloads? The linked site is throwing an error (foreign language), saying the files aren't available?

DOWNLOAD BUG The file has been deleted.

Right click & choose Translate.

The reason you are having an issue with the downloads is you found an old thread, the latest are normally found in "STICKIES"
