For my DriveSmart 61 all the files that I use , I realize that gmapsupp.img would go into the garmin folder on the SD card. What about the other files? Just put them in there also?

Now for the next question. For all the files that I use from the map forum post I realize that gmapsupp.img would go into the garmin folder on the SD card. What about the other files? Just put them in there also?

Download these and place on SD card as shown

Hello all,

Sorry if this question is a waste, however I cannot find D31913780A.JCV for the life of me. I'm sure it's here somewhere, but I've turned over any stone I could possibly see. Is D3191380A.JCV just a renamed version of the file I alluded to previously? If so, would it work if I just renamed it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Team,

Thank you for providing City Navigator North America NT 2022.20 All maps!

I have a Garmin nuvi 260 with a 32GB SD card.

Is it possible for me to install City Navigator North America NT 2022.20 All to my device?

If so, I realize that the gmapsupp.img would go into the Garmin folder on the SD card. What about the other files?

Your device only uses the gmapsupp.img to navigate ,you can add POI files as well.

I tried using this (gmapsupp east with file size 1.88GB) on Nuvi 360 and it is not working. Any idea how to make it work?

Update: It worked :)
for some reason it is only working with a particular sd card. will see why it don't work with other cards.

I installed Canada and USA East (1.88gb) on the device after deleting some extra language files and stuff. And installed Canada and USA West (1.89gb) on SD card. Nuvi 360 recognized both and now I have all of USA and Canada on my device. I believe I bought my nuvi 360 in 2006 or 2007 from costco and have replaced the battery once in 2015 or 2016. Its running 2022 maps, that's remarkable :)

Devices Unable to Read Files Larger than 2GB in Size
The following devices cannot read or use any file that is larger than 2GB in size:

BMW nuvi 350
BMW nuvi 360
nuvi 350
nuvi 360
nuvi 370
nuvi 600
nuvi 650
nuvi 660
nuvi 670
nuvi 680
nuvi 5000
Though these devices are compatible with SD cards larger than 2GB, any individual file on an SD card or the device's internal storage cannot exceed 2GB in size, or the file will not be seen by the device. This is most commonly a problem with European mapping but will occur with any 2GB file. The above device series are not compatible with the supplemental mapping of Europe for this reason.

When running a map update on one of these devices, the map file can be split up to avoid exceeding the 2GB limit. A region of mapping can be loaded to the internal memory of the device, after which the remaining parts of the map can then be loaded separately to an SD card

Don't get me started, nuvi 40, last "lifetime" update, lower 49 NW. Maps didn't register. Huh... That's when express let you choose what you wanted to put on the sd card. Changed it to NE worked no problem. This update same thing. BUT, can't pick and choose anymore. I asked for a direct link to lower 49 NE, sorry we don't support your devices anymore, they're too old. Wait a minute, they work fine till your update screwed up my 2 devices. How would you like to pay for 2 new devices? Unbelievable.

Getting my butt kicked. I use to be able to do all this on my own. Downloaded 2022.20 rar, Put the image on a sd card folder labeled Garmin. Image labeled gmapsupp. It use to be that. Am I missing something? Last time I did my own maps was 2019, didn't have to worry until the "lifetime" updates screwed all of them up. Am I missing something?

Your nuvi 40 that was launched in the 4th Quarter of 2011 is out of storage space, not enough for any reginal North American map due to the increase of data required with todays roads and infrastructure etc. 4.28Gb
City Navigator NT 2011 map update was sold on a 2Gb SD card but the .img was only 1.39Gb
Garmin gives you the option of installing your Lifetime map update on a SD card.

The first thing is to start using the "Thumbs up" button ,not only is this a basic courtesy but it lets us know what you download and from where.
The second is a nuvi 40-50 use a Map folder for supplement maps on a SD card
SD Card:\Map\gmapsupp.img
SD Card:\Garmin\JCV\D3836310A.jcv
