That is a junction view file not usually on a hand held device.

Hello everyone,
I am French and I am leaving for a road trip to Texas on Saturday morning.
I am a little late to update my maps on my Garmin 3597.
I downloaded the maps on post 1 and what is the procedure to be able to include it directly on my SD card of my GARMIN 3597?
I am sorry because I am not very good with computers.

Nuvi1300 here. The file is a rar. When I extract it there is no img file, it makes a folder w tons of files and folders.

Do I just rename it from a rar to an img file? I'm using a sd card.

Appears you have downloaded the gmap folder for PC use.
You just need the US ,Mexico & Canada .img files.
On a FAT32 formatted SD card
