Unfortunately for each version of a map own files, including voice-activated control ASR!
For original gmapsupp.img and gmap3d.img it is required Garmin Unlocker Alternative (Navitotal.com) or Fast IMG Unlocker (Noeman.org).
It is checked up on nuvi 3790T - all well works (including voice-activated control).

Where can I find a NON Cyrillic Russian maps?

I'll add to Pablo's question: is it possible to fix Upper ASCII when in American English? If I switch the locale for Garmin XT to Russian, I see Cyrillic, switching back to American English results in Upper ASCII shown in map's properties. Thank you!

Would it be correct to say that these IMG files (both the locked and unlocked one) cannot be opened in either GPSMapEdit or MapEdit++ because neither supports the NT format for the IMG? Thank you.
