Garmap Southern Africa DEM 2011.3

Product description:
The Digital Elevation Modelling (DEM) version of Southern Africa Streetmaps gives an enhanced 3D-effect to the maps when used on a compatible product (please check with your supplier or GDA for a list of compatible models). This product includes the full street map data from Southern Africa Streetmaps, combined with elevation shading information and 200m contours.

Product Benefits:
The DEM maps are an excellent blend of Southern Africa Streetmaps and TOPO, optimised for reduced memory requirements whilst offering a unique visual presentation of elevation data. Have downloaded the SA Streetmaps NNT file and extracted the files.
I've extracted the setup.zip file to a setup folder. When I browse the setup folder i don't see any exe to install these maps onto my PC :-(

Please advise on how I can install these maps to my PC.

not exe file inside zip, there is GMAP folder just copy it to

Windows XP:
Copy "SOME NAMED MAP.gmap" folder into
[color="#800000"]%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps[/color]
OR
[color="#800000"]%APPDATA%\GARMIN\Maps[/color]

Vista and windows 7:
Copy "SOME NAMED MAP.gmap" folder into
[color="#800000"]%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GARMIN\Maps[/color]
OR
[color="#800000"]%APPDATA%\GARMIN\Maps[/color]
(or something like that all other languages)

I wonder if we can now have both NT and NNT mapsets residing in the same installation? I need the NT mapset for a Garmin GPS-182C and the NT mapset for a Garmin Nuvi.

just rename second gmap folder

Hi.

Tried that now with no joy. Folders named as below;

SA Streetmaps 2011 NT.gmap
SA Streetmaps 2011.gmap
SA Topo Rec 2011.gmap

Can only see the Streetmaps NT and the Topo NNT. The Streetmaps NNT is not visible for selection in Mapsource :-(

AAAAH.... Maps use same FID that is reason, just use them one by one

Looks like I'm still stuck with running Mapsource on two PC's then -
one with NT version and one with NNT ;-) Not ideal but at least its a workaround.

you can use them same computer also, if you use this trick

put maps like this anywhere you want:
ANY FOLDER\SA Streetmaps 2011 NT\MapSource.exe
ANY FOLDER\SA Streetmaps 2011 NT\Maps\SA Streetmaps 2011 NT.gmap

ANY FOLDER\SA Streetmaps 2011 NNT\MapSource.exe
ANY FOLDER\SA Streetmaps 2011 NNT\Maps\SA Streetmaps 2011 NNT.gmap

remove these both maps from %APPDATA%
run MapSource.exe what you want use, any way you need use them one by one

I have downloaded Garmap Sub-Saharan Africa Streetmaps 2011.3 NT. i ahve also downloaded KG1.5. I generate the unlock codes but on manage maps on mapsource it tells me unathenticated.

PS: what is the difference between NT and NNT

Better to use the MapSource Unlocker BEFORE you send the map to your device, but you can also use the Unlocker Alternative to unlock the ready map image.
